Lois Andison is a sculptor and installation artist based in Toronto. Her art practice ranges from kinetic sculpture that involves the viewer’s movement to initiate experiences and exchanges, to video and photography, which she uses to document and interpret motion. Andison’s conceptual interests in language as medium and kinetic type as movement have recently led her to incorporate text in her sculptures. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, in cities including Mexico City, Boston, New York, Montreal, Lethbridge and Buffalo. She is represented by Olga Korper Gallery, Toronto and Galerie Art Mûr, Montreal; and is currently Assistant Professor in the Fine Arts Department of the University of Waterloo, where she teaches Digital Imaging and Sculpture.
