Nadia Gohar’s multi-mediated practice explores aspects of migration, historical memory and sociality as a survival response through reconstructing facets of her upbringing in Cairo. Gohar received a BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art & Design in 2012. Her work has been exhibited at Queens Museum (New York), SOIL Gallery (Seattle), Sleep Centre (New York), Samson Projects (Boston), Little Sister Gallery (Toronto), Artscape Youngplace (Toronto), Project Gallery (Toronto), AWAN (London, UK) and Libreria Cascianelli (Rome, Italy), with an upcoming solo exhibition at Erin Stump Projects in Toronto in the spring of 2019. Gohar currently lives and works in Toronto.
