Lorna Bauer works in photography, installation and most recently, glass and bronze. Her work  alludes to ideas developed through city planning and urban theory, with specific focus on 20th century architecture, urban planning and psycho-geography. Her projects are typically site related, in observance of the correlation between the natural and the built environment and the ways in which spaces shape individual perceptions. Bauer lives and works in Montréal. She has recently presented her work at Franz Kaka (Toronto), Eleftheria Tseliou (Athens), CK2 Gallery (New York), The Darling Foundry (Montréal) and the Musée d’art Contemporain de Montréal among others. Bauer has participated in numerous national and international residencies, including Despina-Largo das Artes (Rio de Janeiro), The Couvent des Récollets (Paris) and The Banff Centre (Alberta).
