Through large-scale drawing, ceramics and installation practices, Zachari Logan explores the intersections between masculinity, identity, memory and place, with his body as the catalyst and site. Employing a strategy of visual quotation Logan re-wilds his body as a queer embodiment of nature. Logan’s work has been exhibited widely throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Logan has been a resident at ISCP (Brooklyn); Wave Hill Gardens (New York); and Vienna’s Museums Quartier. Logan’s work is in the collections worldwide, including the National Gallery of Canada; Art Gallery of Ontario; Remai Modern (Saskatoon); Leslie-Lohman Museum (New York); McMichael Canadian Art Collection (Ottawa); Mackenzie Art Gallery (Regina); and TD Bank.
