Sky Glabush works across many mediums including drawing, textiles, painting, and sculpture. In the piece Young Man, a motif such as a face or a landscape is a starting place and a structure reveals itself in the making. The paint exerts an influence on the image and the elements of motif, narrative, and materiality collectively dialogue but ultimately fade into something beyond them. Glabush received his BFA from the University of Saskatchewan and his MFA from the University of Alberta. Recent exhibitions include Philip Martin Gallery (Los Angeles), Clint Roenisch Gallery (Toronto), Galerie Zink Waldkirchen (Waldkirchen), Projet Pangee (Montreal) and (Prosjektrom Normanns (Stavanger). His work is included in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, Museum London, McIntosh Gallery, the Colart Collection, Bank of Montreal, MacKenzie Art Gallery, Mendel Art Gallery, and the University of Saskatchewan.
