Meg Harder makes research-driven, dialogical artworks. Harder’s response is always an incomplete fiction or an alternative ending, grounded in her own strange lexicon. The House is part of a series of drawings prompted by traditional Mennonite folk art, found in local archives of Kitchener-Waterloo. Harder is an interdisciplinary artist from Kitchener, who received her BFA from the University of Waterloo, with an exchange at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design (Jerusalem). Harder also studied graphics with Paula Wilson at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts (Deer Isle). Harder has exhibited at the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery and the Contemporary Art Forum (Kitchener and Area). She is currently pursuing her MFA at the University of Guelph.
